just pull the weeds

COULD KAIZEN BE THAT SIMPLE?

We believe the 7 wastes are the proverbial weeds in the garden and are preventing our good seeds from growing to their full potential. Since we all benefit from the same harvest, might it make sense to identify these weeds and remove them together?

PLANT SOMETHING BETTER

CULTIVATE A CULTURE OF IMPROVEMENT

As we started removing waste together, we began to see how the individual kaizen tools replaced our bad habits with good ones. A wave of momentum came when we connected these tools together with activities away from the shop floor.  True power came when we started to understand the principles and how they were woven into our closely held beliefs about work and community.

NEED A HAND?

WE SURE DID

From our early beginnings, sharing what we have learned with other people has been one of our core values. We felt strongly that our mistakes and success could be much more valuable in the hands of other organizations. This is why we started offering Waste Tours many years ago. We now offer a variety of experiences and training to help you at any stage of your journey. Perhaps we might be useful to you and your team at some point?

01 WASTE TOUR

Just the Basics

A 4 hour introduction to SUSTAINABLE Kaizen and Continuous Improvement as a culture, which will be presented by a variety of Kaas colleagues. Waste Tours have been used by teams and organizations to get a practical understanding of how these principles in action might impact their world.

Ideal for leaders and teams in organizations who are just getting started with the concepts, or just need to be inspired to continue along their journey.

02 FIELD DAY

Just the Basics + Games

An 8 hour team building day. The first half of the day is a normal Waste Tour with some added advanced options. The afternoon is "hands on" flow and 5S simulations, and closes with an application discussion with Kaas leadership to recap the day.

Ideal for leaders and teams in organizations who have a desire to move from "tools" based lean to a culture of improvement. It will help those who want to better learn how to work with their teams to implement flow in their thinking and operations.

03 BOOT CAMP

3 Full Days of Fun

3 day immersion experience. This is an intensive, team building experience that will allow the group to "live" for a few days inside an organization that struggles daily to stay true to it's values. Boot campers can learn our entire business system through a variety of hands-on activities, simulations, and freeform direct observation time. Each session ends with an application discussion with Kaas leadership.

04 ON SITE VISIT

We Come to You

Much to our surprise, on our quest to learn and share with others, we have developed an aptitude for helping leaders and organizations navigate the lean transformation process. By visiting your facility, we can bring a fresh set of eyes, backed by our own experiences and tools, which can shed some insight and help your team avoid some of the pitfalls that we have encountered. Our goal is to work with your Leadership team to help them cultivate a culture of change by harnessing the power of Truth, Bit, and Pull.
